Welcome to the May Serenity Series,

Kindness and Grace

Kindness and Grace includes four videos: Yin Yoga, Gentle Yoga, Zen Break, and Guided Mediation. Each video offers you an opportunity to discover the difference between conflict and kindness. It’s time to weave Kindness and Grace into small moments of each day. Practice with me. I will lead the way.

In Yin Yoga, explore the relationship between conflict and discomfort. You will become familiar with both experiences and practice offering yourself kindness and grace to let go of resistance and struggle.

Gentle Yoga includes a floor series to open the hips and support the low back. It is perfect for a mid-day pick-me-up, especially if you have been on your feet or sitting at your desk all morning.

The Zen Break guides you to bring the feeling and expression of kindness into your heart, even during times of conflict.

The Guided Meditation is perfect as a mid-day reset. Using your imagination, you will create your own Inner Sanctuary. Your Inner Sanctuary is a place of refuge, a place where kindness, comfort, and grace exist in abundance.

What to Expect in Each Video

Yin Yoga- Stomach and Spleen

“I resolve conflict with kindness and grace.”  As you settle into yin yoga postures, you will explore the relationship between conflict and discomfort. As you become familiar with these experiences, you will practice offering yourself kindness and grace for your experience. Yin Yoga Poses included in this class are Reclining Butterfly, 1/2 Butterfly, Frog, and Forward Fold. These postures nourish the stomach and spleen meridian. They also support the health of the low back and bring more flexibility to the hips.

You won’t need to stand up in this class, so it is perfect for a mid-day session if you have been on your feet or sitting at your desk all morning. Zen Break- Kindness and Grace

This Zen Break can be done sitting in a chair, standing, or lying down. You will experience the feeling of kindness in your body. You will also experience the feeling of conflict in your body. As you become aware and familiar with both feelings, you will learn to bring the feeling and expression of kindness into your heart, even during times of conflict.

Guided Meditation- Kindness and Grace

In this Guided Meditation, you will create your own Inner Sanctuary. Your Inner Sanctuary is your place of refuge, a place where kindness, comfort, and grace exist in abundance. Using your imagination to fill in the details, your Inner Sanctuary will come to life. Enrich your mediation practice by drawing or journaling about your Inner Sanctuary when you complete the practice.
