Greetings!

It’s so no nice to meet you.

I’m Roberta Whitney Hughes. I am known for my relaxing voice and calming energy. 

For work, I get to teach Pilates, yoga, and meditation to busy people who have the desire to relax and feel more peaceful.

I am the mom of two boys ages 22 and 18 and have blended my family with my boyfriend and his two boys ages 12 and 7. Mikey the Doberman is my sidekick and spirit animal. Daisy the Goldendoodle reminds me that pure joy really does exist. I have a busy home AND a peaceful home.

The tools that help me bring peaceful moments into my life are long walks, journaling, Pilates, yoga, and meditation. I also enjoy cooking, traveling, and sipping champagne and wine with the people I love. 

I grew up in a small military town in Arizona, near the border of Mexico. I have a black father and a white mother. My dad, a black man, was born and raised in Kentucky and served 30 years in the Army. My mom, a white woman, was born and raised in Belgrade, Yugoslavia (now Serbia). She was the first in her family to come to America and taught herself how to speak English. 

I stand for diversity, inclusion, and healthy opportunities for all human beings. In 2011, I had the opportunity to help a young woman with Down Syndrome achieve her dream of losing weight so she could model in the Be Beautiful, Be Yourself Fashion show. Over the course of two years, she lost 108 pounds. Working with her and getting to know more people with Down Syndrome changed my life. Inspired by my experience, I began a non profit in 2013, The Healthy Me Project, to help more people with disabilities experience inclusion in fitness centers and achieve their health and wellness goals.

About Me

I am the founder of PeaceFull Living and PeaceFull Living TV. I am a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT200) with Yoga Alliance, a Peak Pilates Master Instructor, and a Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher (NCPT) with the Pilates Method Alliance. I have specialized training in Yin Yoga and Divine Sleep Yoga Nidra

I have been a yoga practitioner since 1992, a yoga teacher since 1998, and a Pilates practitioner and student since 2010. My philosophy is that with the proper training and body awareness, all people have the ability to achieve their health and wellness goals, live without pain, reduce the impact of stress, and obtain the highest quality of life.

Meet PeaceFull Living TV

PeaceFull Living TV is a COVID-born business. During quarantine, I asked my oldest son for help. He is an amazing audio and video editor and is building his business. From pre-production to post-production, we worked together during quarantine and created beautiful videos just for you. 

On July 1, 2020, PeaceFull Living TV was born. The on-demand video library is accompanied by membership into The PeaceFull Circle, a private group where I offer live classes each week. I share yoga, Pilates and meditation to help you relax, breathe, and feel better in your body. If you aren’t ready for a yoga class, there is no need to worry. Many members listen to the vides on a walk, when they are working at their desk (or in the yard), or even when commuting to and from work. My voice will help you let go of stress anytime and anywhere. 

I invite you to take some time for you. Join the PeaceFull Circle and surround yourself with a community of people who not only appreciate the value of self-care but understand how difficult it is to find time to take care of themselves. As a member, you will always have my support. I am here to guide you, mentor you, and advocate for your personal well-being. I will help you choose the videos that meet your needs, then help you find creative ways to fit them into your life.
